How we keep your orders safe and what to do if you need help.

How Payment Works

Beffer uses Stripe Connect for all payments. When you accept a quote and pay:

  • Your payment is processed securely through Stripe, the same platform used by millions of businesses worldwide.
  • Funds are routed through Stripe Connect so the supplier gets paid and Beffer sits in the middle to help resolve any disputes.
  • Beffer does not hold your money - we facilitate the connection between you and verified suppliers.
  • You get a receipt immediately and can track your order status in your dashboard.

All payments are subject to our Terms of Service. Card payments are processed in GBP (£).

What if there's a problem?

We want your order to go smoothly. If something goes wrong:

Step 1: Contact the supplier first

Most issues can be resolved quickly by contacting the supplier directly via your dashboard or the contact details provided with your order.

Step 2: Beffer helps facilitate resolution

If the supplier doesn't respond or you can't reach an agreement, contact us at support@beffer.co.uk or call 0333 444 1098. We'll work with both parties to find a fair solution.

Step 3: Refunds & disputes

Refunds are issued by the supplier, not Beffer. If a supplier refuses a legitimate refund, we can pause their account pending investigation. In cases where payment protection applies through Stripe, we'll help you file a dispute with your card provider.

Our Dispute Resolution Process

  1. Raise an issue via your dashboard or email us with your order number and a brief explanation of the problem.
  2. We contact the supplier within 24 hours and request their response.
  3. We facilitate a resolution - this might be a partial refund, a rework, or another outcome both parties agree to.
  4. If the supplier refuses to cooperate, their account may be suspended and we'll help you escalate to Stripe or your card provider.

Important: Beffer is a marketplace platform. We connect buyers and suppliers but we are not the direct seller. Refunds and remedies are the responsibility of the supplier. However, we do everything we can to ensure suppliers meet their commitments.
